Join us for the long-awaited tour of eight homes on Genesee Circle in the 1920’s Westside neighborhood which was one of Lansing’s first self-contained neighborhoods including the homes of industrialists, merchants and a woman entrepreneur. The tour includes the homes of Charles Ecker, the president of the R.E. Olds Company; the Breisch pioneer family; the first building superintendent of MAC; Howard Rowe, general manager of the Jury -Rowe Furniture Co. and the English Cottage of J. Frederic and Annabel Bissinger who owned a massive greenhouse and floral shop on Capitol Ave.

The tour starts at 521 Carey St. at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 15 and proceeds along S. Genesee Dr.  The tour is free and street parking is available. Most of the homes in the Westside Neighborhood are or soon will celebrate their centennial. The Walking Tours are sponsored by MSU Federal Credit Union.
